For fans of Square Enix’s 2007 Nintendo DS hit “The World Ends With You,” the sequel is laser-focused on titillating the senses and, for the most part, accomplishes that mission with aplomb. There’s a lot to like in “Neo: The World Ends With You,” from its wacky urban fantasy story that aptly infuses outlandish plot devices into contemporary Shibuya, Japan, to its intricate combat system that allows players to mix and match an impressive variety of abilities. Some pop up mid-game, like, “What ludicrously over-the-top thing is Nagi, a self-described edgelord and one of the game’s funniest characters, going to say next?” Others are tied to characters: “Just what is Sho Minamimoto, video gaming’s coolest mathematician, scheming and why is he working with the inexperienced protagonists?” Perhaps most importantly: “Why does this game have frequent frame rate drops despite looking worse than the 14-year-old title it follows?” Lose to the last boss outside the time limit.Playing “ Neo: The World Ends With You” invites quite a few questions. Completing the game within this time limit also changes the ending. Get to and lose to the last boss within a time limit (unknown duration, level select is allowed). You can view all versions of an unlocked thumbnail by changing the setting in the options: システム → ムービー開放 → 開放.Completing the game without continuing (level select allowed) unlocks all the thumbnails in the gallery.The version in the gallery depends on the last one you saw in the game. The generic CGs each have a completely-dead version that appears if you get hit too much after losing all your life.Lose to the last boss having used 5 or more continues before the final area. Completing the game within this limit gives the good ending. Lose to the last boss having used less than 5 continues before the final area. As above, but die and exit while being hugged. 32: Demi-human - bear hug (tunic, skirt) (ryona).Die to a jellyfish while not wearing a skirt. Die to slime while not wearing a skirt. The only way to lose clothes here is to get caught by a slime. In the orb room, defeat the guard and leave the zombie alive and complete the level.
